Peanut Butter Cookie Instructions
You will want to start by mixing together with a electric hand mixer your sugars, Peanut Butter and the shortening. Now mix in your egg. Now beat in your flour, baking powder, baking soda, and the salt. Now you'll want to cover your bowl of peanut butter cookie dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours.
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and then roll your peanut butter cookie dough up into small large marble size balls of cookie dough and put them out on a large cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Put your balls of cookie dough out at least two inches apart and take a fork and flatten your cookie dough making a criss cross pattern on the cookies like in the photo above.
Bake your cookies for 8-10 minutes in the preheated oven. You only want them to get light golden brown. Don't over cook your cookies. Let them set on the cookie sheet for about five minutes once they come out of the oven then move them to a tray or cookie rack.
