The Worlds Best Crock Pot Chicken

Here we have a recipe for what I consider is the World's Best Crock Pot Chicken. If your looking for a really easy to make recipe for making one of the most delicious recipes ever in the crock pot then you need to check out this delicious crock pot chicken recipe.

The World’s Best Chicken

1. 4 Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts, use skinned boneless chicken thighs if you wish.

2. ½ cup Dijon Mustard.

3. ¼ cup Maple Syrup.

4. 1 tablespoon Red Wine Vinegar.

5. Salt & Black Pepper to taste.

6. Rosemary, dry powdered or fresh.

To make this in the slow cooker, combine all ingredients and cook on low for 3-4 hours.

I like to make this chicken dish with skinned boneless chicken thighs because to me they have much more flavor than chicken breasts. I usually serve this particular chicken dish over Saffron Rice. I usually serve steamed asparagus along with the meal. Cheddar Bay Biscuits go very good with this meal also.

Crock Pot Ribs Are So Delicious

Step 1: Put your ribs in the crockpot. Lather them with bbq sauce. You can use a homemade sauce or a store-bought bottle. If you are going store-bought I recommend using Kraft Kansas City Barbecue Sauce. Just remember to save a little bit for later. You'll need about 1 cup of sauce in the slow cooker for each rack of ribs.

Step 2: Cook on low for 6-8 hours.

Step 3: Gently remove the racks and lay them out on a foil lined baking tray. Add more bbq sauce on top.

Step 4: Broil under a broiler for 3-5 minutes until the bbq sauce starts to bubble and caramelize. Alternately you could wrap them in foil and throw them on a heated grill for the same effect. I sometimes do this for crowds and picnics. This keep the ribs warm until ready to eat and makes it easy to pass out portions.

What Exactly Is a Crockpot?

The word 'crockpot' is a name which is actually a trademarked name, but is often used as a generic term. The terms 'crockpot' and 'slow cooker' have come to be used interchangeably.

'Rival' is the original holder of the trademarked term 'Crock-Pot'.

The Rival Crock-Pot / slow cooker has been one of the most important cooking tools for busy families since its introduction in 1971. Slow cooking is a great way to provide delicious home cooked meals for people and families on the go and produces flavorful meals time after time.

This appliance is made of fired clay and is usually glazed and surrounded by a metallic housing. It contains a controlled heating element to maintain the slow cooker temperatures which allow food to be cooked over longer periods of time.

Typically a slow cooker will have just two heat settings, and a glass lid is used to retain the heat and moisture. An important tip to be sure to follow is this: Don't lift the lid while it is cooking the food! Letting the heat escape in this way will add twenty minutes to the cooking time! The lid is important as it prevents escape of hot water vapor which would, if permitted, lead to lowering the internal water level, loss of heat and drying out of the contents.

A slow cooker works in a much different way than a pressure cooker which allows much higher temperatures than the boiling point of water. Because the lid of a slow cooker is on very loosely, the temperature inside will never get above the boiling point of water. Any vapor that does occur condenses on the lid and returns as moisture back onto the food.

Because of the nature of slow cooking, food can be cooked for longer than expected with no harm to the food. In fact, your meats become more tender when they are cooked like this over longer periods of time.

Recipes for these cookers must be adjusted to compensate for the nature of the cooking. Often water must be decreased. Most (probably all) come with recipe booklets. Many cookbooks with slow cooker recipes are available and there are numerous recipes on the Web. A small number of cookbooks seek to make complete dishes in a slow cooker using fewer than five ingredients while others treat the slow cooker as a serious piece of culinary equipment capable of producing gourmet meals. With some experience, timings and recipe adjustments can be successfully made for many recipes not originally intended for these cookers. The long, moist nature of the cooking method allows for lower quality cuts to be used.

And even though a slow cooker takes longer to cook the food, it will actually save you time! How is this possible? Well, you can quickly load the ingredients in the morning and turn it on. That right there is the bulk of your time -not very much! And at dinner time, your home will greet you with a flavorful aroma fit for a king or queen!

Three Ingredient Crock Pot Chicken

Here’s what you’ll need:

1• 3 small/medium potatoes, cleaned + skin left on (halved if small, quartered if medium –

2• 2 boneless + skinless chicken breasts

3• Italian salad dressing (Zesty is best)

4• salt + pepper

Place the potatoes at the bottom of the crockpot (veggies will take more time to cook than the meat so meat should always go on top!)

Drizzle with the Italian dressing (just enough to coat the potatoes)

Pour a little bit of water (¼ cup was enough for my small crock) over the potatoes.

Place the chicken breasts on top of the potatoes, folding in the small end if needed.

I seasoned first with some salt + pepper but it’s probably not needed. Drizzle some more Italian dressing on top of the chicken Put the lid on the crock and let it cook on low all day

I put this together in just a couple of minutes and started the crock at about 8 AM. When it was time to eat around 6 PM the potatoes were cooked and the chicken was falling apart.

In a larger crock pot you can double or even triple this recipe. I like to also make this recipe with skinned, boneless chicken thighs.

Slow Cooker Meatloaf

Slow Cooker Meatloaf Recipe

Above Is How Your Meatloaf Will Look In The Crock Pot

You'll want to line your crock pot or slow cooker with tin foil and then put your meat loaf in the tin foil in the crock pot. This is one of the few recipes where you should line your crock pot with tin foil before you cook your food in it

Meat Loaf Is The All American Food

I think of meatloaf as the All American Food. I remember my late Grandmother Hattie Propst and my late Mom her daughter Virginia Walker making wonderful meatloafs. My Grandmother Hattie Propst would cook all day every Saturday to serve a feast every Sunday after church and meatloaf was always one of the things she would make.

Later on my Mom Virginia Walker made almost the same meatloaf but not quite. My Mom made a tomato gravy that she served with her meatloaf and it was so delicious. My Mom's meatloaf is still made all over the south today because she taught cooking classes for years.

Later on I became a Chef and started making and serving what I considered to be some of the best meat loaf ever at cafes all over the south. I came up with my own recipes for meatloaf and I've even made meatloaf out of alligator and it was delicious.

Today people are so busy so they need a really good and quick way to make a delicious meatloaf in the crock pot.

Ingredients For Your Crock Pot Meat Loaf

1. 2 tablespoons of olive oil

2. 2 cups of diced onions

3. 2 teaspoon of ground sea salt

4. freshly ground pepper to taste

5. 2 tablespoons of tomato paste

6. 1/3 cup of low-sodium chicken broth

7. 3 tablespoons of soy sauce

8. 3 pounds of 85 percent ground beef

9. 1/2 cup of fresh parsley, minced

10. 2 eggs

11. 1/2 cup of plain dry breadcrumbs

12. 1 cup of ketchup

Instructions For Putting Your Meatloaf Together

Pour olive oil in a sauté pan and cook unions until soft and translucent over medium low heat. You don't want them to start browning.

Add salt and pepper to the onions.

Stir in chicken broth, soy sauce, and tomato paste.

In a large bowl, combine onion mixture, parsley, eggs, and breadcrumbs.

Use a fork to gently combine.

Don't overwork the meat mixture as this will make the meatloaf dense.

Prepare the slow cooker.

Use three sheets of foil laid over each other to line the slower cooker.

Fold sides of foil down to create handles you can use to remove the meatloaf from the slow cooker.

Place meatloaf mixture into slow cooker and form into loaf shape.

Pour ketchup over the top.

Cook meatloaf until it reaches160 degrees. About 4 hours on low.

Once meatloaf is cooked, remove from slow cooker using the handles of the foil.

Optional : You can place the meatloaf under the broiler for about 5 minutes to caramelize the ketchup.

Above is what your meat loaf will look like when it comes out of the crock pot. The tin foil makes it easy for you to use the tin foil to lift the meat loaf out of the crock pot.

I like to serve my meat loaf with green bean casserole and mashed potatoes. If you click those links you'll find wonderful recipes for those items. Cheddar Bay Biscuits go great with this meal also. Click Here for that recipe.

When your in a hurry stand a bunch of fresh broccoli upside down, and use a chef's knife to trim the florets into bite size pieces. These tender crowns will cook quickly though.

Crock Pot, Crock Pot is the brand name of an electrical appliance known a a slow cooker that simmers food slowly for several hours. It generally takes about twice as long to cook food in a slow cooker on the low heat setting as on the high setting. Also, resist lifting the lid, each time the lid is removed it can add 30 minutes to the cooking time. So resist the urge to raise the lid and peek.

A slow cooker is an electrical appliance that allows a meal to be cooked while you're away from home. Most slow cookers are made of thick stoneware, and the slow cooker bowl or crock is surrounded by an enclosed heating system. The low temperature gently simmers food for hours unattended. Slow cookers range in size from 1 - 6 quarts, and some models have a removable liner that is dishwasher safe. These are the best models.

Crockpot Chicken and Dressing

Crockpot Chicken and Dressing

4 chicken breasts, cooked

2 pans of cornbread or two quarts (I always use Buttermilk or "Dixie" cornbread)

2 hamburger or hot dog buns (I have used leftover, homemade yeast rolls or white bread)

2 Tbsp sage (add more to taste. I usually end up adding about a Tablespoon more)

1 medium onion, chopped

2-3 eggs, hard boiled and chopped

2 cans cream of chicken soup (separated)

1 stick margarine or butter, melted

2 cans chicken broth (3-4 cups)

CHICKEN: While preparing the other ingredients in the dressing, season with salt/pepper, and poach (or simmer in a little water in a saucepan) the chicken breasts for about 10 minutes.

DRESSING: Mix together cornbread, other bread, sage, onion, hard-boiled eggs, one can cream of chicken soup, melted margarine or butter, and two cans of broth in a big bowl.

PREPARATION: Make a layer of half the remaining can of cream of chicken soup in the bottom of a large crock pot. Top with 1/3 of the dressing. Top dressing with half of the chicken, shredding it as you put it in. Top with 1/3 dressing, remaining chicken, and remaining dressing. Spread other half of cream of chicken soup over top.

Ingredients For The Crock Pot Hot Fudge Cake

1-¾ cup Brown Sugar, Divided

1 cup Flour

6 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder, Divided

2 teaspoons Baking Powder

½ teaspoons Salt

½ cups Milk

2 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, melted

½ teaspoons Vanilla Extract

1-½ cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

1-¾ cup Boiling Water

1 teaspoon Espresso Powder (optional)

Preparation Instructions

Turn your 3-quart crockpot on high. Coat the inside of the crock with non-stick spray.

1. In a small bowl, combine 1 cup brown sugar, flour, 3 tablespoons cocoa, espresso powder, baking powder and salt. In a large bowl, combine the milk, butter and vanilla. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix to combine. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared slow cooker. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.

2. In another small bowl, combine the remaining brown sugar and cocoa; stir in the boiling water. Pour the hot water mixture over the batter but do not stir it in with the already made cake mix. Serve warm with ice cream and hot fudge.
